Kent State responded in the 52nd minute when Isabelle Mihail won a race to a loose ball in the box and finished it for her sixth goal of the season. Another Bronco own goal, this time in the 64th minute on a free kick that went off the cross bar and bounced off a WMU defender and into the net, cut the lead to 4-3 but WMU held strong in the remaining 27 minutes to earn the victory.
