TOLEDO, Ohio – The Western Michigan women's basketball team has seen back-to-back career-high performances from sophomore Deja Wimby, but the Broncos still fell on the road at Toledo 75-67 at Savage Arena in front of an impressive crowd over 4,000.

Wimby finished with a career-high 25 points, surpassing her previous high of 24 that she set last time out against Ball State. She went 8-for-18 from the floor and 9-for-10 from the free-throw line. Along with Wimby, sophomore Breanna Mobley had a good game as well, securing her 17th career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while senior Meredith Shipman, who set the WMU single game record with nine made 3-pointers last season in Savage Arena, finished with 11 points and hit three 3-pointers, making this the 12th straight game she's made two or more.

The game went back-and-forth for nearly the entire the 40 minutes, as the lead changed three times and the game was tied five times. Toledo led 19-16 after the first quarter, but the Broncos came back to grab a two-point lead heading into the break. The third quarter was the most decisive, where Toledo, who holds the No. 1 scoring defense in the MAC, outscored the Broncos 19-11 to take a lead and never trailed again and a 10-0 run late in the third quarter.

Toledo converted off Broncos miscues, scoring 29 points off of 20 WMU turnovers, a key to the game from both head coach Shane Clipfell and assistant coach Rick Albro. The Rockets shot 55.1 percent while holding WMU to 43.9 percent. The Brown & Gold won the rebounding battle 33-28 and finished with nine steals.

The Broncos return home for two straight games to end the regular season and one more in the opening round of the MAC Tournament. Rival Central Michigan comes to town on Wednesday, March 1 at 7 p.m.
