"I am very happy to close this trip out with a win," commented WMU head coach Shane Clipfell. "We battled through a lot of tough minutes here, that if kept in right context will pay dividends moving forward. We witnessed what making shots at the arc can do for this team and developed a different mindset on the glass that we must sustain as well."

Junior guard Deja Wimby, named to the 2018 Nancy Liebermann Watch List, nearly missed out on a triple-double today with 15 points, eight rebounds and a season-high nine assists. Redshirt senior Marley Hill poured in the game-high 20 points while junior Breanna Mobley notched her fifth double figure game with 17.

In a game where Western Michigan led for nearly 31 minutes the Broncos got things started early for the third consecutive game, led by sophomore Kamrin Reed's seven of her nine points in the first quarter. The Buccaneers climbed their way back in the second quarter with a 12-2 run of their own. ETSU held WMU scoreless for nearly three minutes while forcing the Broncos to turn the ball over seven times, taking the 38-37 lead into the break.

The Broncos came out on fire in the third, going 8-of-11 from the field (72.7 percent). Combined, the trio of Hill, Jordan Walker and Wimby went a perfect 7-for-7 as WMU outscored ETSU 24-20 in the quarter. Jordan Walker added eight of her career-high 16 points in the final 10 minutes to help guide WMU to its third win of the season.

As a team, WMU scored a season-high 87 points at a season-high rate of 56.3 percent. The bench for WMU added 10 of its 12 points in the first quarter while the Broncos scored 12 points off 17 turnovers on the day. WMU also converted from the line, adding 28 points off 37 attempts. From behind the arc, Jordan Walker led the way as the freshman went 4-for-5 from long range.

"We are coming home a better team than when we left and that makes this coaching staff very happy," added Clipfell.

Western Michigan returns home for the first time this season with an overall record of 3-4, as the Broncos welcome Olivet College into University Arena on Thursday, Nov. 30 with tip time scheduled for 7 p.m. Following Thursday, WMU returns to the road again facing its third B1G opponent this season in Michigan State on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 12:30 p.m.
