KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan linebacker Asantay Brown was named the MAC West Defensive Player of the Week today, following his performance in the No. 13 Broncos' 55-35 win over Toledo on Friday.

Brown had an interception and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown on the very first play of the game. It was Brown's first interception of the season and third of his career. The pick-six was the first of Brown's career. He finished the game with six tackles, including a tackle for loss.
