NOTES ON LAST WEEK
- Western Michigan secured the Victory Cannon Trophy for the 12th time since its inception in 2008.
- WMU has now held opponents to 20 or fewer points nine times since the start of the 2025 season (including the 2025 MAC Championship game).
-
Broc Lowry's eight passing attempts were a career low as a starter, his previous was nine in a 35-19 win at Northern Illinois.
- Last week was the second-straight game that a WMU tight end has caught his first touchdown as a Bronco. In the win over Kent State,
Adam Parks caught his first two touchdowns as a Bronco, along with being the first two of his career. At Central Michigan it was
Nate Levicki finding the endzone.
IT'S STILL BROCTOBER
Since earning the starting job, the month of BROCtober has been a special one for redshirt junior quarterback
Broc Lowry. The Broncos are 5-1 with Lowry as the starter in BROCtober. His combined stats for the month: 99-for-138 passing, 71.4 completion percentage, 1,093 yards passing, 8 touchdown passes, 0 interceptions, 78 carries, 418 yards rushing, 4 rushing touchdowns.
Last season, Lowry quarterbacked the Broncos to wins over UMASS, Ball State and Central Michigan during the month. This season, WMU has wins over Buffalo, Kent State and Central Michigan. The lone loss came last season at Miami (Ohio).
BRINGING BACK THE HAVOC
Through the first four games of the season the Western Michigan defense was low on havoc, having created just 3 sacks and 10 tackles for loss.
The Broncos have kicked up the havoc plays since the start of MAC play. In three MAC games the WMU defense has produced 11 sacks, 17 tackles for loss and 16 quarterback hurries.
Dillon Moore and
Scoop Gardner Jr. combined for 6.5 of the 11 sacks.

Sitting just above him are Jamauri Bogan (2015-18) with 3,327 and Shawn Falkner (1980-83) at 3,341.
