Bowling Green extended its lead to 15-11 but WMU came back with the next five points to take a 16-15 lead. The teams traded leads and a kill by BGSU's Nicole Slimko tied the set at 19-19. WMU led early in the third set, building a 7-4 advantage. Bowling Green responded with a 5-0 run to take a 9-7 lead, and then pushed the lead to 15-9.
