KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team will have the opportunity to crown two singles champions in freshman Melina Lyubomirova and junior Tracy Kuhle in the final round of the WMU Super Challenge. The Broncos finished the day 2-2 in singles play and 1-5 in doubles play to push their two-day total to 9-12 against a field that features two Big Ten teams (Iowa & Indiana), an Atlantic Coast Conference team (Louisville) and a Big East team (Marquette).

In singles play, Lyubomirova earned a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 over Sarah McLean of Indiana to advance to the Flight A championship where she will face Abbie Pahz of Louisville. Kuhle earned a 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 win over Crawford of Iowa to advance the Flight B championship where she will face Zoe Douglas of Iowa. Sophomore Ella Perinovic moved up in flights and fell in Flight A while freshman Denise Azcui dropped her match in Flight C. In doubles play, the duo of Lyubomirova/Kuhle earned a tough 7-6 win to improve to 4-2 this season.

WMU finishes up the WMU Super Challenge tomorrow with one final round of singles in the Broncos last action of the Fall season. The Brown and Gold are off until Jan. 16 when they host Oakland in a dual match.
