Hamilton/Steiner Fall in the Round of Eight at ITA Midwest Regional Championships

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Doubles team Matt Hamilton/Maik Steiner fell in the round of eight at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships to end the Broncos stay at the University of Notre Dame. 

Hamilton/Steiner lost 8-5 to Matt Mendez/Hunter Tubert of Ohio State ending their undefeated season as their record falls to 10-1. Mendez/Tubert were the No. 11 seeded team while Hamilton/Steiner were the No. 23 team in the tournament. 

In the Main Draw Singles, Steiner, the sophomore, moved on to the round of 16 while freshman Matej Svjetlicic was the other Bronco to advance past the first round. 

The Broncos return to action as they host the MAC Invite at West Hills Athletic Club next weekend from Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 1.
