SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Western Michigan men's team wrapped up the Fighting Irish Invitational on Sunday.
FRIDAY
Friday's action featured a round of doubles and singles.
Matej Kajzer and
Dimitri Moriarty picked up a 7-6 (7-5) win over Notre Dame's Giuseppe Cerasuolo. The Broncos lost all four of their singles matches in two sets.Â
SATURDAY
Moriarty and
Jack Davison found some singles success on the second day. Davison defeated Augusto Pardo Cano from DePaul 6-1, 2-0 with Pardo Cano retiring in the second set. Moriarty earned a 6-4, 4-6 1-0 (10-5) win over Indiana's Luc Boulier and then picked a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5) win over DePaul's Bernardo Vialle.Â
SUNDAY
Davison and
Oscar Corwin picked up singles wins in the final day. Davison defeated IU's Sam Scherer 6-4, with Scherer retiring due to an injury after the first set. Corwin then defeated Vialle 6-2, 6-3.Â
