• Western Michigan closes out the regular season on the road, traveling to Ohio and Akron on May 2-4
• Megan Stamm hit her eighth home run of the season, giving her 10 for her career; she is now tied with Tara Buchanan for the second most in a season and tying Becky Bartosz for seventh most in a career
• Stamm needs just two more home runs to tie Lexi Jager (2009) for the most in a season
• Kelsea Cichocki and Marlee Wilson each hit their first career home runs this past weekend in back-to-back games against Buffalo
• Cichocki's home run came with two runners on base, giving Western Michigan its 14th mult-run home run of the season and its third three-run home run of 2014
• Cichocki broke the WMU record for hits in a game in the opener against Buffalo with five
• Melissa Palmer hit her third home run of the season this past weekend and the sophomore now leads the Broncos in batting average at .346
• Palmer has 53 hits on the season to lead the Broncos and needs seven more to tie Joy Kroemer (1994) and Bonnie Siemsen (1988) for seventh most in a season
• Western Michigan fell in a pair of two-game series last weekend to Buffalo (L, 2-6; L, 5-6 F/8) and Kent State (L, 0-3; L, 1-3)
