KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan men's basketball team took care of business in its final exhibition contest of the preseason, defeating Kalamazoo College, 81-32, Sunday at University Arena.
All 14 dressed Bronco players saw action in the contest, with 12 totaling points and four reaching double digits. Senior

Jared Klein led the team with 12 points apiece, while senior
Austin Richie scored 11 and sophomore
Tucker Haymond contributed 10. Brown and Richie each put away three 3's.
The Broncos led 42-22 at the half and held the Hornets to just 10 points in the final 20 minutes. Kalamazoo College didn't score its first basket in the second half until 11:15 left in the game.
Western Michigan forced K-College into committing 31 turnovers and held its visiting opponent to 25 percent shooting - 14.3 percent in the second half. In contrast, WMU did an excellent job taking care of the ball, turning it over just six times.
Western Michigan shot 44.3 percent for the game and was 13-for-28 (46.4%) from behind the arc.
The Broncos have a full week of practice before hosting Aquinas in its season-opener on Sunday, Nov. 16. WMU travels to Oakland for a Nov. 19 matchup and returns to Kalamazoo to host Drake on Nov. 22.
