Broncos Add Goetz for 2012-13

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team announced today that Anna Goetz (Upper Steyr, Austria) has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Western Michigan University.  Goetz will attend WMU and will join the women's tennis program for the 2012-13 season.

"We're very excited to have Anna join our program," said head women's tennis coach Betsy Kuhle.  "She comes in with a lot of experience, and will be able to step into singles and doubles immediately for us.  Furthermore, she's a great student, and fulfills all the requirements we have for a great student-athlete."

Goetz comes to the Broncos from Upper Steyr, Austria, where she was recently the winner of the Austrian championship.  Goetz has already excelled at doubles play, having taken third in the European Championship in doubles and making it to the finals of the International Tennis Federation's doubles bracket.  Goetz also reached the quarterfinals of the 2009 Dubai ITF Junior Championships.
