DETROIT - Western Michigan football took to the Ford Field turf on Christmas Day for its first of two practice sessions.
The Broncos held their normal Thursday practice on Sunday at Ford Field in preparation for the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl on Dec. 27.
The team is focused on winning the program's first bowl game in its history and will look to do that against Purdue.
We had a chance to chat with senior kicker and Capital One Academic All-American John Potter about returning to the venue where he kicked a career long field goal that ultimately sealed the victory over Illinois in 2008.
He spoke about the difference in kicking indoors versus dealing with the elements he faces in outdoor settings.
