KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan football will welcome a trio of talented student-athletes to campus in January, signing three junior college transfers.
Darrin Duncan (Victoryville, Calif./Valley) is a six-foot, 180-point wide receiver from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. He hauled in 47 catches, ranking second on the team in receptions, for 577 yards and a touchdown this past season. He averaged 12.3 yards per catch in 2011. Duncan's team won the 2010 state and national titles, finishing runners up in 2011. Duncan is a former teammate of current Bronco Tim Maka.
Terry Easmon (Sacramento, Calif./Laguna Creek) is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker out of American River Junior College. Easmon was first team all-conference and led the team with 68 tackles and 8.0 sacks. He also had 13.0 tackles for loss. His team went 21-1 over the past two seasons, including a perfect 11-0. Most likely an outside lineabacker at WMU, Easmon was a member of American River teams that ranked fourth in California and ninth in the country this past year.
Finally, Jake Minster (Augoura, Calif./Augoura), a 6-foot-2, 240-pound linebacker from LA Pierce Junior College joins the Broncos after serving as a two-year starter at LA Pierce. Minster finished 2011 ranked third on the team with 46 tackles to go along with 2.5 TFLs, 1.0 sack, two interceptions, two pass break ups, a forced fumble and fumble recovery. He was also named the Top Scholar Athlete among all student-athletes at LA Pierce.
