KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Former Western Michigan men's soccer player, Tom Oatley,
was named the Premier Development League (PDL) Player of the Week,
after scoring six goals and adding an assist in three matches last week
for the Kalamazoo Outrage.
Oatley's effort helped the Outrage
remain undefeated this season and moved them into first place in the
Great Lakes Division with a record of 5-0-2.
The Outrage opened
the week with a 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Bavarians Tuesday, in which
Oatley netted a pair of goals. In their second of three matches last
week, Kalamazoo downed Fort Wayne
6-1. Oatley registered a hat trick, scoring two goals in the first 18 minutes
and adding a third in the 76th.
In
the final game of the week, Oatley led the Outrage to a 3-1 victory
over the Michigan Bucks, scoring a goal and assisting the game-winner.
Oatley
was a three-time All-Mid-American Conference selection while at Western
Michigan (2004-07), totaling 24 goals and 18 assists for 59 points. He
holds the school record for career game-winning goals with nine. He is
currently in his second season with the Kalamazoo Outrage.
