KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan football returns to Waldo Stadium for a match up with Mid-American Conference West Division foe Eastern Michigan. Both the Broncos and Eagles are coming off big wins as WMU defeated Ball State, 41-27, on the road and EMU took care of Toledo, 17-13, in Ypsilanti, Mich., for the Eagles' first win of the season.
THE GAME ? Western Michigan is coming off two MAC West Division wins, looking to make it three in a row, while Eastern Michigan is coming off its first win of the season. The translation - both teams are feeling good and want to keep it going. The game will take place in Waldo Stadium on Education Day after the two teams met at Ford Field in Detroit a year ago.
TELEVISION ? Western Michigan will be highlighted on television in seven of its last eight games of the 2006 season, including the Broncos' showdown with Eastern Michigan at Waldo Stadium. It marks the second of three-straight games for WMU to be aired on Comcast Local.
RADIO ? This and all Western Michigan football games will be broadcast live on the Bronco Radio Network, which includes its flagship station, WFAT - 96.5 FM, as well as WZUU - 92.3 FM in the Kalamazoo market. Robin Hook (play-by-play) and Monty Porter (analysis) will have the call as they have together for the past eight seasons.

SERIES IN BRIEF ? WMU leads the all-time series, 25-14-2, and has an 18-8-1 advantage when taking on the Eagles on the Broncos' home turf. Both teams have split the last two meetings but Western Michigan has captured 12 of the last 14 contests, including a 40-37 victory in overtime in 1999 and a 44-36 win last season.
THE COACHES ? Bill Cubit (Delaware, 1975) is in his second season as the head coach of Western Michigan. The Sharon Hill, Pa., native led the Broncos to the biggest turnaround in Mid-American Conference history with five conference wins. Cubit served as offensive coordinator for WMU from 1997-99.
Jeff Genyk (Bowling Green, 1982) is in his third season with the EMU Eagles. Heading into the 2006 season, the Eagles were 8-14 under Genyk and are coming off a huge, 17-13, win over MAC West rival Toledo.
