Summary of Current Role:
Herrmann oversees the Strength and Conditioning program for all Western Michigan University’s 14 Varsity Olympic Sports, primarily working with both the men's and women's basketball teams, volleyball and ice hockey.

With the help of his staff, Herrmann manages the daily operations of the Read Fieldhouse and Seelye Center weight rooms.
His numerous responsibilities also include daily scheduling of the weight rooms, management of the budget, oversight of the graduate assistant program and the maintenance and purchase of weight room equipment.

Career Highlights:
During his tenure at WMU, Herrmann has produced seven National Strength and Conditioning Association All-Americans in volleyball athletes Kathryn Babcock (2007), Ashley Vogl (2009), Katie Eberling (2010), men’s basketball athletes Joe Reitz (2009) and Brandon Pokley (2013), women’s basketball athlete Robin Giden (2012), and hockey athlete Ian Slater (2012).
Herrmann has played a part in 16 MAC Championship Teams.

Certifications/Awards:
NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach since 2000.
