Megan Steenhuysen enters her second year as the Broncos’ Director of Volleyball Operations.  She works as the team’s liaison to the Spiker’s Club, alumni, and the WMU Marketing department. Steenhuysen is also responsible for planning the team’s community outreach programs, utilizing social media to better interact with fans, and assist the rest of the coaching staff with summer volleyball camps, travel accommodations, and other administrative duties.

Steenhuysen graduated from IPFW in 2013 with a degree in Psychology after enjoying a four-year collegiate volleyball career.  A two-time Summit League Setter of the Year, she ranks second in program history with a 4,723 career assists; as a senior, Steenhuysen ranked fifth in NCAA Division I with an average of 11.97 assists per set.  She was also accomplished defensively, recording 53 assists-digs double-doubles over the course of her career, including a career-best 17 times during the 2010 season.

Steenhuysen helped the Mastodons to NCAA Tournament bids in 2009 and 2012, leading them to Summit League Tournament victories and winning the Tournament MVP award as a senior.  A three-time All-Summit League selection, she earned First Team Honors in 2010 and 2012 and Second Team honors in 2011, and was three times recognized as a member of the Summit League Fall All-Academic Team, earning the honors in 2009-10 and 2012.
