Lauren Sinacola

Lauren Sinacola was named head women's soccer coach on May 24, 2016 after spending three seasons as an assistant coach under former head coach Nate Norman in February of 2013. 

In her first season as head coach she led the Broncos to 13-7-1 record and a third place finishin the MAC West, after posting a 6-4-1 record in conference play. Two players were named All-MAC with midfielder Liz Abro earning Second Team honors and forward Alyssa Burke earning First Team honors. After making it to the Semifinals of the MAC Tournament, Megan Ross and Candice Uhl earned spots on the MAC All-Tournament team. Abro also went on to be named NSCAA Third Team All-Great Lakes Region. The team had tremendous success under Sinacola off the field as well with 13 earning Academic All-MAC and seven of those named MAC Distinguished Scholar Athletes. 

With Sinacola's help the Broncos made it to the MAC Tournament Championship game every season she served as an assistant, winning the tournament in 2013 and 2015

As an assistant she saw 15 student-athletes named All-MAC during her three seasons and an astoudning 39 named Academic All-MAC

Prior to joining the staff she was an assistant at Olivet College in 2012 and was also a volunteer assistant at Michigan State, her alma mater, from 2010-11. Sinacola's coaching experience also extends to the club level, where she coached with the TNT Dynamite Soccer Club, out of Lansing for four years, serving as the head coach of multiple TNT girls teams and held speed and agility & technical training camps for the youth in Lansing and Williamston, Mich. Recently she coached with Midwest United FC in Kalamazoo and has had experience coaching in the Olympic developmental program.

The Rochester, Mich., native earned a bachelor's degree in communications and a specialization in public relations and later a masters in sports administration for MSU. At Michigan State Sinacola was a four-year starting central midfielder. As a freshman in 2006, she was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team and SoccerBuzz.com Great Lakes Region All-Freshman team. In 2007 Sinacola was named Big Ten player of the week. In 2008, Sinacola led the Big Ten with 11 assists and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors. Her senior season as a captain, was cut short due to a knee injury at the beginning of conference play. Despite that, Sinacola landed a spot on the All-Region team. She finished her career with two Academic All-Big Ten awards, two NCAA College Cup appearances, 12 goals and 21 assists for 45 points.

Sinacola, 29, resides in Kalamazoo.
