2019-20: Season shortened due to COVID-19 ... voted the Neil Smith Most Valuable Defenseman by teammates ... played in 30 games, registering a career-best 14 points on two goals and 12 assists while finishing +17 ... tallied two assist sin 6-3 win at Colorado College (11/1) ... netted first goal of the season in 2-1 win at Denver (11/22) ... tallied assists in three straight games at Minnesota-Duluth and two against Colorado College (1/11-18) ... tallied two assists in 8-4 win over RPI (2/7) ... had a goal and two assists and finished a combined +5 in sweep at Miami (2/14-15).

2018-19: Played in 35 games, only missing two due to winning a silver medal with USA Hockey in the World Junior Championship ... finished with 12 points on five goals and seven assists ... named to NCHC Academic All-Conference Team ... made collegiate debut against Bowling Green ... scored first career goal in game at Bowling Green, beginning a five-game point streak that featured two goals and there assists ... netted game-winning goal in 3-2 win over Miami ... netted fifth goal of the season against North Dakota. 

Juniors: Samuelsson spent two seasons playing with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, while playing with the U.S. National Under-18 and Under-17 Teams. In 105 career games played with the National Teams, he tallied 47 points (17g-30a). In 53 games competing with the USANTDP that competes in the United States Hockey League (USHL), Samuelsson totaled 24 points (9g-15a) in 53 games. Internationally, Samuelsson captained Team USA during the 2018 U-18 World Junior Championships, helping lead the team to a silver medal with a goal and an assist in seven games played. In 2016, Samuelsson won a gold medal with Team USA in the Youth Olympic Games.
 
NHL Draft: Drafted #32 overall in the second round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres, becoming the second-highest draft pick in program history.
