NHL: Signed with Buffalo Sabres after sophomore season.

2019-20: Season shortened due to COVID-19 ... voted the Neil Smith Most Valuable Defenseman by teammates ... played in 30 games, registering a career-best 14 points on two goals and 12 assists while finishing +17 ... tallied two assist sin 6-3 win at Colorado College (11/1) ... netted first goal of the season in 2-1 win at Denver (11/22) ... tallied assists in three straight games at Minnesota-Duluth and two against Colorado College (1/11-18) ... tallied two assists in 8-4 win over RPI (2/7) ... had a goal and two assists and finished a combined +5 in sweep at Miami (2/14-15).

In 2016, Samuelsson won a gold medal with Team USA in the Youth Olympic Games.
