Dan Wenger

Dan Wenger joined the WMU football strength & conditioning staff during the 2013 season after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Florida.

Wenger, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach certification, earned a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame where he played from 2006-10, appearing in 30 games and starting 19, as an offensive guard and center.  He was medically disqualified in 2010 and served as a student assistant for the Fighting Irish. 

After earning his degree, Wenger was granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA and transferred to Florida in 2011 where he started 11 games at left guard for the Gators.  Wenger, who started a combined 30 games during his collegiate career, was named game captain twice during his time at Florida.

In 2012, Wenger spent Rookie Mini-Camp with the New York Jets before beginning is graduate assistanceship at Florida where he worked with offensive line.
