Brent Bassham is in his second season as the defensive graduate assistant in 2010 after serving as an undergraduate assistant from 2006 through 2008.  Bassham will assist the defensive coaching staff on scouting of opponents and help with the establishment and implementation of game plans week in and week out.

The Oakley, Mich., native completed his undergraduate degree in secondary education in December of 2008 at the completion of his third season as a student assistant for WMU football as an assistant, Bassham worked with the receivers and quarterback coaches, broke down opponent film for offense and defense, set up quarterback drills and assisted with quality control.

Bassham called personnel packages for the defensive coordinator during games while also scripting offensive schemes.  He was a student assistant on each of the Broncos' last two teams to reach postseason bowl games (International Bowl - 2006; Texas Bowl - 2008).

In 2003,  Bassham (26/DOB: 9/30/83) returned to his alma mater, Chesaning High School, to serve as offensive coordinator for the junior varsity squad and the quarterback/receivers/safeties coach for the varsity team.
