Brandon Lacy was named WMU's rush/ends coach in March of 2024.
 
Lacy joined WMU after spending the past three seasons at Southern Miss, coaching the team's defensive line. During the 2022 season, Lacy's defensive line was responsible for 222 total tackles, 42 tackles for loss and 25.5 sacks.

Lacy was also the defensive line coach at Richmond after a successful 10-year stint at Southeastern Louisiana. At SLU he produced an All-American, 14 All-Southland Conference players and his defensive lines routinely were among the top in the national rankings in sacks, tackles for loss, turnovers and scoring defense.

Through his entire coaching career he has coached five NFL Draft picks, 10 All-American defensive linemen, 34 all-conference selections, three Defensive Player of the Year award winners and two Buck Buchanan Award finalists for the top defensive player in FCS.
