Glenn Miller joined the Western Michigan baseball staff as an assistant coach in August of 2025. The 2026 season was his first with the Broncos.

In Miller's first season, the Broncos turned in a 27-25 record and went 20-13 in the MAC, their most conference victories since the 2021 campaign, to finish in fifth place and make a return trip to the MAC Tournament. Western Michigan had four players earn All-MAC First Team selections, the program's most since 1995. Junior center fielder Tanner Mally won the NCAA Division I batting title with a .446 batting average and became WMU's first All-American since 2017. Mally and co-MAC Defensive Player of the Year Michael Maloney anchored a defense which ranked 33rd in the nation with a .978 fielding percentage, the second-best mark in program history. Off of the field, the Brown and Gold garnered five CSC Academic All-District selections and led the conference for the third straight year with 15 Academic All-MAC honorees.

Miller came to Kalamazoo after spending the 2025 campaign as an assistant coach at Davenport University, where he primarily worked with the program’s infielders. In his one season, the Panthers went 42-15 overall and 21-3 in conference play to win the GLIAC regular season championship. DU followed that up by going 4-0 to capture the GLIAC Tournament title and punch its ticket to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.

While at Davenport, Miller aided in the development of GLIAC Player of the Year Xander Reisbig and All-Region honoree Justin Johnson. DU boasted a total of six All-GLIAC First Team selections and had five named CSC Academic All-District.

As a player, Miller began his collegiate career with two seasons at Spring Arbor University before spending his final three years at Eastern Michigan. In three years with the Eagles, he started 115 games and totaled 111 hits, 28 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 49 RBIs. He was a two-time Academic All-MAC honoree and a 2024 CSC Academic All-District selection. While at EMU, he played summer ball for the Traverse City Pit Spitters when they were managed by Bronco associate head coach / recruiting coordinator Josh Rebandt.

Following his collegiate career, Miller played professionally for the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League and Rocky Mountain Vibes of the Pioneer League.

Miller received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in April of 2024. He was recently married to his wife, Natalie.Â
