PREGAME
  • Weather: 37 degrees. Wind: 1 mph West

  • Toledo won the toss, deferred. WMU will receive
 
First Quarter
  • Redshirt sophomore Kaleb Eleby with 1-yard rushing touchdown. Eleby’s fourth career rushing touchdown and first since Famous Idaho Potato Bowl vs. BYU (12/21/2018)
  • Senior Jaxson Kincaide with 21-yard touchdown, his second rushing touchdown of the season.
  • Kincaide’s 21-yard rushing TD, his longest of the season
  • End of First Quarter: WMU 14, Toledo 14
 
Second Quarter
  • Broncos stop Toledo on 4th Down in Bronco territory. The Broncos second forced turnover on downs this season.
  • Senior defensive end Ali Fayad notched his second sack of the season and first forced fumble of the season.
  • Fayad now has nine forced fumbles for his career
  • Halftime: WMU 14, Toledo 24
 
Third Quarter
  • Junior Nick Mihalic with his fourth punt of the night and first over 50 yards. His second punt inside the 20-yard line.
  • Eleby connects with senior D’Wayne Eskridge for a 47-yard touchdown pass
  • It’s Eskridge’s third receiving touchdown of the season and second over 40 yards
  • End of Third Quarter: WMU 21, Toledo 31
 
Fourth Quarter
  • WMU blocked field goal by redshirt freshman Braden Fiske
  • It’s the first blocked field goal for WMU since David Curle at Ball State (Nov. 1, 2016)
  • Sophomore running back Sean Tyler goes over 100 yards rushing, the second time in his career he’s eclipsed 100 yards rushing
  • Sophomore Skyy Moore with a 16-yard receiving touchdown, the first receiving touchdown of the year for Moore
  • Eleby’s second passing touchdown against the Rockets
  • Eskridge goes over 100 yards for the second straight game
  • Eleby with second rushing touchdown of the night and fifth of his career.
  • Broncos recover the onside kick, the first onside kick recovered this season
  • Kaleb Eleby throws his third touchdown of the night, tying his career-high to Jaylen Hall
  • Interception by Harrison Taylor, the first of the season for Taylor.
  • Final: WMU 41, Toledo 38

  • Sean Tyler is the 26th running back under head coach Tim Lester to rush for over 100 yards
  • Kaleb Eleby threw for over 200 yards for the fourth time in his career
  • It’s the first game in his career Eleby has rushed for two touchdowns
  • Eskridge goes for over 100 yards receiving for the fifth time in his career
  • Eskridge is the 14th receiver under head coach Time Lester to record a 100-yard receiving game
  • Western Michigan now has an overall record of 2-0
  • It was WMU head coach Tim Lester’s first victory as a head coach over Toledo
