PRE-GAME
  • 54th all-time meeting between WMU and BGSU, first meeting since 2015
  • Broncos looking for fifth win in a row, third-straight MAC victory
  • Falcons looking for first win over an FBS opponent and first MAC victory of the season
  • Today is Bowling Green’s Homecoming game
  • WMU will be without starting free safety, sophomore AJ Thomas, will be replaced by junior Davontae Ginwright

FIRST QUARTER
  • BGSU 7, WMU 0 – Falcons score on a 74-yard TD run
  • First time WMU has been shut out in the first quarter since game two – Sept. 8 vs. Michigan
 
SECOND QUARTER
  • QB Jon Wassink throws picks on back-to-back drives, his fifth and sixth interceptions of the season
  • RFr. linebacker Corvin Moment first career forced fumble, Jr. defensive end Antonio Balabani with his first career fumble recovery – Broncos go onto score after the turnover
  • RSr. running back Jamauri Bogan with a 9-yard touchdown run, his 32nd career rushing TD, team-leading fifth rushing TD of the season
  • BGSU running back Andrew Clair leaves the game with ankle injury
  • Halftime Score: BGSU 21, WMU 7
 
THIRD QUARTER
  • Wassink converts a 4th and 8th with a 13-yard rush
  • Bogan scores on a 5-yard run, his second TD of the game, 33rd of his career
  • Junior LB Najee Clayton with his third forced fumble of the season, senior defensive end with second career fumble recovery. Second forced turnover by the WMU defense in the game. Broncos go onto score after TO.
  • Junior WR D’Wayne Eskridge with a 24-yard touchdown reception, his third touchdown reception of the year. First passing TD in the game for Wassink, 15th on the season.
  • Junior WR Keishawn Watson makes a reception, fumbles, picks up ball for a TD return on the fumble recovery. It is the second time this season WMU has returned a fumble for a touchdown.
  • Score: WMU 28, Bowling Green 28
 
FOURTH QUARTER
  • Junior RB LeVante Bellamy with over 100 yards rushing for the third game this season
  • Bogan with a 7-yard TD run, his third of the game, 34th career – ties score at 35-35
  • Wassink connects with freshman WR Jayden Reed for a 40-yard reception
  • Bogan with a 3-yard TD run, his fourth of the game, 35th career – gives WMU its first lead of the game, 42-35. Third time in Bogan’s career he has rushed for 4 TDs, first time since he was the 2015 Bahamas Bowl MVP.
  • With 2:36 left to play, CB WR Anton Curtis makes first career interception, SS Justin Tranquill credited with QB hurry on the play
  • Curtis records his second INT of the day on the final play of the game
  • Final Score: WMU 42, BGSU 35
 
POST GAME
  • RB LeVante Bellamy season-high 145 yards rushing, four shy of his career high
  • Bogan’s 4 TDs - second time this season a Bronco has scored 4 touchdowns in a game (Jayden Reed vs. Miami – all receiving)
  • WMU has had to come from behind in the second half in all three MAC victories this season
  • Western Michigan improves to 5-2, 3-0 in the MAC
  • Bowling Green falls to 1-6, 0-3 MAC
