Western Michigan - Toledo Game Notes

PRE-GAME
• Western Michigan has won the last two games in the series, Toledo looking for its first win over Broncos since 2014. UT leads the all-time series 41-30
• A Western Michigan win would give the Broncos at least seven regular-season wins for each of the last four seasons
• Toledo can clinch its first outright MAC West title since 1998 with a win
• Western Michigan wins the coin toss and defers, will kickoff to start the game

FIRST QUARTER
• WMU OL Zach Novoselsky leaves the game with injury
• 64-yard punt by junior Derrick Mitchell, his seventh over 60 yards this season, lands inside the 10. Mitchell leads FBS with punts inside the 20 with 33.

SECOND QUARTER
• Antonio Balabani records his team-best fourth sack of the season
• Obbie Jackson grabs his second interception of the season, third career
• Goddard scrambles for a career-long 26 yard rush
• Jarvion Franklin, Ra’Sean Davie & Leo Ekwoge have rotated in at running back for WMU in the first half
• Goddard completes a 27-yard pass to Anton Curtis, career-long reception for Curtis

THIRD QUARTER
• Jarvion Franklin moves ahead NFL Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas into 33rd all-time for career collegiate rushing yards.
• WMU converts 4th & 10 with 13-yard pass, Goddard to Arnett. Next play, Goddard finds Arnett for 26-yard touchdown. First career receiving TD for Arnett, third passing TD for Goddard.

FOURTH QUARTER
• Darius Phillips has moved into 5th all-time in FBS history for career kickoff return yards. Has passed former Bronco Brandon West and NC  State’s T.J. Graham today.
• Senior LB/Safety Asantay Brown goes over 20 tackles in the game
