2006-07: Like her classmate, Danielle Brown, Jennifer made huge improvements during her sophomore season, specifically in the long sprints. She lowered her 400m personal best by nearly three seconds at the 2007 Outdoor MAC Championships, clocking a 53.39 in the finals, which was the second-fastest time in WMU history. Sabra came back shortly afterward and posted a personal best in the 200m, scoring important points for the Broncos. Jennifer ran the lead leg for the MAC champion 4x400 relay, ran a leg on the record-setting shuttle-hurdle relay, ran the 400m portion of the Drake Relays champion sprint medley relay and was a member of the 4x400 squad that placed 14th in the nation at last year’s NCAA Championships. Her best event is possibly the 400m hurdles, where her skills and her flat 400m speed point to limitless potential.
2005-06: Finished fifth at the MAC Outdoor Championships in the 400m hurdles ... advanced to the NCAA Regional and competed in the USATF Junior Nationals in the 400m hurdles ... ranks sixth all-time at WMU in the 400 hurdles after just her freshman season.
High School: Earned all-state honors in the 300m hurdles in 2004 and 2005 ... qualified for the 2005 state meet in the 200m dash ...News-Herald MVP in 2005 ... named All-Down River in 2003, 2004, 2005 ... won Jesse Owens Eagle Award in 2005 ... member of Jr. ROTC.
