KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer program and head coach
Lewis Robinson have announced the 2026 schedule, with the action beginning on Aug. 5.
The Brown and Gold open the year with three exhibition matches. The first will be at Purdue Fort Wayne (Aug. 5) followed by a pair of home contests against Oakland (Aug. 8) and Saginaw Valley State (Aug. 12).
The Broncos will kick off the regular season in Hawaii with games against Idaho (Aug. 18) and Hawaii (Aug. 20). The first home game of the season will come against Colorado on Aug. 27. The two teams will meet at 7 PM, which will be the first regular season home game under the new lights at the WMU Soccer Complex.
The non-conference schedule continues with two more home games against Valparaiso and Illinois. Valpo will be in town on Aug. 30 and the Fighting Illini will head to Kalamazoo on Sept. 3. To close out the non-conference slate, Western Michigan will travel to Detroit Mercy on Sept. 6 and Xavier on Sept. 13.
The MAC schedule begins with a road match at Ohio on Sept. 17. That is followed by a home game against Ball State on Sept. 20. The Broncos went 3-0 against the Bobcats and Cardinals last season.
From there, WMU will have back-to-back road games at Toledo (Sept. 25) and at Kent State (Oct. 1). However, the Brown and Gold will then get two home games against Bowling Green (Oct. 4) and Buffalo (Oct. 11).
A pair of rivalry matches are next on the schedule, as the Broncos will square off with Eastern Michigan on Oct. 15 and Central Michigan on Oct. 18. Both games are on the road.
Western Michigan closes the season with two of the last three at home beginning with a matchup against Miami OH at the WMU Soccer Complex on Oct. 25. The Broncos will then travel to UMass on Oct. 29 before concluding the regular season at home against Akron on Nov. 1.
The MAC Tournament will kick off on Nov. 7 with the quarterfinal round. From there, the semifinals (Nov. 10) and finals (Nov. 13) will be played at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
WMU has won three straight MAC regular season titles and back-to-back MAC Tournament championships. Over the last three years, the Broncos have produced a 26-1-7 record in MAC play.
