KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field program will continue its outdoor season at the Hillsdale Gina Relays this weekend. The competition will be on April 17-18.
RECORD BREAKERS
Soniya Jones and
Laurine Elisa Marimon were dominant last weekend at the Duke Invitational, as both were able to post school-record marks in their respective events. Jones was flying in the 100-meter dash, posting a PR time of 11.56. That is the top time in the MAC so far this season.
Marimon was just as good, earning the school record in the triple jump. Her leap of 12.67 meters moved to second in the MAC this season.
BRONCO DEBUT
Katie Nichols will be making her WMU debut this weekend, joining the program for the outdoor season. She played softball last season for the Broncos and will make her college debut in the javelin.
