KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team wraps up its non-conference schedule on Friday, hosting Northwood at 12 p.m. at West Hills Athletic Club.

Admission is free. 

LAST WEEK
The Broncos extended their winning streak to five matches after sweeping Ferris State, 7-0, at home. WMU prevailed in the doubles points thanks to wins by Ayana Yaguchi/Lola Glantz and Frida Weijerman/Marielou Baudouin. Audrey Smitek, Sienna Osborne, Yaguchi, Baudouin, Glantz and Weijerman all picked up wins in singles to complete the sweep. 

SCOUTING THE TIMBERWOLVES
Northwood comes to Kalamazoo witha 5-2 record, having won its past two matches at Saginaw Valley State and at home against Purdue Northwest. NU's two losses came at home against Davenport, 4-3, and on the road at No. 19 Grand Valley State, 7-0. 

STREAKING
Western Michigan's five-match winning streak is its longest since the team won five straight in 2024. That streak came exclusively in MAC play. 

WMU has not won more than five straight matches since an 11-match win streak to open the 2021 season.

Western Michigan opens the 2026 MAC schedule hosting Miami on Sunday, March 15 at 12 p.m.
