Trio of Broncos Selected to NCHC All-Conference Teams

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The NCHC announced its All-Conference Teams this afternoon, with Hampton Slukynsky, Grant Slukynsky and Samuel Sjolund headlining the list. 

Hampton Slukynsky was selected to the Second Team after posting great numbers throughout the 2025-26 league campaign. He ended the NCHC season with a league-high 16 wins to go along with a 2.57 goals against average and .908 save percentage. He is also a finalist for the Three Stars Award. 

Overall, Slukynsky has started every game for the Brown and Gold, leading the NCAA with 26 wins. In 36 games, the Los Angeles Kings draft pick has a 2.27 GAA and.915 save percentage. Along with that, his four shutouts rank first in the NCHC and sixth in the nation. 

Grant Slukynsky also had an excellent NCHC season, scoring 22 points on four goals and 18 assists in 24 league games. He was fourth in the league in helpers and 10th in points. The elder Slukynsky is also up for the league's Sportsmanship Award. 

On the season, the Warroad, Minn. native has been WMU's best offensive player. He leads the team with 40 points on 10 goals and 30 assists. He is the first Bronco to reach 30 assists in a season since Luke Grainger in 2023-24. 

Sjolund was Western Michigan's most consistent defensemen throughout the season, tallying 18 points on four goals and 14 assists in conference play. Among defensemen, he finished second in the league in assists and third in points. 

In 36 games this season, the Stockholm, Sweden native has 26 points on six goals and 20 assists. He is currently riding a four-game point streak, with five assists in that stretch. He leads all defensemen on the team in points, goals and assists. 

The Broncos will be in Denver this weekend to take on the Pioneers in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff Semifinals. Puck drop is set for 8 PM ET at Magness Arena.
