Women's Tennis Winds Down Non-Conference Play Hosting Ferris State

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team returns home on Friday to host Ferris State at 12 p.m. at West Hills Athletic Club.

Admission is free.

KEEP ON ROLLING
Western Michigan took a road trip through Ohio and picked up a couple of wins last weekend. The Broncos opened with a 5-2 victory at Cleveland State on Saturday and concluded the trip with a 5-2 win at Youngstown State.

The pair of victories extended WMU's winning streak to four matches, with three of the four coming on the road.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Ferris State is 5-1 heading into Friday's match. The Bulldogs have won their last four, with the lone loss coming to Findlay, 5-2. FSU also has a pair of exhibition losses to Eastern Michigan from back in January.

STAYING HOT
Since making her dual match debut back on Feb. 14 against Oakland, freshman Ayana Yaguchi has started off her career 3-0 in singles play. Yaguchi is 2-0 at No. 5 and 1-0 at No. 4. The Tokyo, Japan, native is also 2-0 in doubles action at the No. 2 spot, paired with graduate student Lola Glantz

ALMOST THERE
Western Michigan hosts Northwood next Friday at 12 p.m. for its final non-conference match. Mid-American Conference play begins for the Broncos on Sunday, March 15 when they host Miami at 12 p.m.
