KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Thanks to a sweep of Arizona State this weekend, the Western Michigan hockey team was able to hold its spot in the latest national polls.
The Broncos held steady at No. 4 in both the USCHO and USA Hockey rankings this week. Michigan State, Michigan, North Dakota, WMU and Quinnipiac were the top five teams in both polls this week.
In the NCHC, the Brown and Gold were joined by UND, Denver, Minnesota Duluth and Miami. St. Cloud State and Colorado College were receiving votes. Arizona State and Omaha did not receive any recognition in the polls this week.
WMU will make one last road trip in the regular season this weekend, heading west to square off with Colorado College. The Broncos and Tigers will hit the ice on Friday at 9 PM ET to begin the series.
