Kalamazoo, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team returns to University Arena for its National Girls and Women in Sports Day contest against South Alabama, a part of the MAC - Sun Belt Challenge, on Saturday, February 7th. NGWSD events will begin at 12 pm, with tip-off slated for 1 pm versus the Jaguars. Young Broncos can claim a special ticket offer for this game, with tickets beginning at just $2.   

Members of various Western Michigan women's sports teams will be in attendance that afternoon, with each offering interactive stations for young Broncos and participants the opportunity to learn about each sport. Fans in attendance will have an opportunity to snag a commemorative NGWSD poster celebrating the nine WMU women's teams in addition to our spirit programs.  

In addition to NGWSD, it is also Scout Day, where Western Michigan celebrates all local Girl Scout troops, which will be recognized on the videoboard during the game.   

After the conclusion of the game, fans can grab autographs from the women's basketball team.
