KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team has announced its captains for the upcoming 2026 Spring Season.
Graduate students
Lola Glantz and
Polina Khotko, along with senior
Audrey Smitek had will lead the team into its dual-match season.
Glantz is in her second season with WMU after transferring from Florida Gulf Coast. She was WMU's No. 1 in singles last season and went on to earn the Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award. Khotko was the 2023-24 MAC Freshman/Newcomer of the Year and enters her third and final season with the Broncos. Smitek has had a significant impact since playing as a freshman. She heads into the Spring season, needing just four total wins to reach 100 for her career.
The Broncos open play on Friday at 12:30 p.m., hosting Chicago State at West Hills Athletic Club. Admission is free. Western Michigan then heads on the road to take on Notre Dame on Sunday at 11 a.m.
