Lola Glantz Honored With Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award

CLEVELAND -- Western Michigan women's tennis graduate student Lola Glantz has been honored with the Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award.

The award is presented to the women's tennis player who has displayed outstanding sportsmanship in Mid-American Conference competition. The award is voted upon by the league's coaches after discussion with the student-athletes on the team.

Glantz, a native of Lueneburg, Germany, played her first season with the Broncos after transferring in from Florida Gulf Coast. She played the entire season as WMU's No. 1 singles and as part of the No. 1 doubles pair with junior Audrey Smitek. Glantz went 15-17 in singles and 13-15 in doubles.

Glantz becomes the second student-athlete in program history to be honored with the award, joining Ashley Moccia (2009) and Noriko Saruta (2008).
