Cameron Rowe Signs Deal in Chicago Blackhawks Organization

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan goaltender Cameron Rowe signed a contract with the Rockford Ice Hogs, which is the AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. 

Rowe played a big role in helping the Broncos earn the 2025 National Championship, along with the Penrose Cup and NCHC Frozen Faceoff title. 

The Wilmette, Ill. native is one of the best goalies in program history, finishing his career with a 58-32-2 overall record to go along with a 2.40 goals against average and .908 save percentage. He ranks third in program history in wins and GAA, while being seventh in save percentage.  

He spent two seasons with Wisconsin before transferring to WMU, giving him a 69-42-3 record for his career. In 123 career games, he posted a 2.52 GAA and .907 save percentage. 

His final season in Kalamazoo was his best, as he notched a 15-2-0 record with one shutout. His .882 winning percentage led the NCAA and was the best single-season mark in program history. He led the NCHC with a .924 save percentage and was second in the league with a 2.00 GAA. 

For his efforts, Rowe was named to the All-NCHC Third Team this season. He was also a finalist for the league's Goaltender of the Year award. Along with that, he was named to the Academic All-Conference Team all three years he was in Kalamazoo.
