KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan softball team heads on the road for a double-header at rival Central Michigan on Tuesday, beginning at 1 p.m.

LAST WEEK
The Broncos lost all four of their games last week, opening up with a 12-4 decision at Michigan. WMU then hosted MAC-leaders Miami for its first home games of the season. Western Michigan dropped Friday's double-header with a pair of 5-4 losses, with game two being settled in eight innings. Saturday's series finale saw the RedHawks down the Broncos 3-1. 

SCOUTING THE CHIPPEWAS
Central Michigan heads into Tuesday with a 5-2 record in MAC play and are 13-15 overall. CMU started off by dropping two games to Northern Illinois and have not lost in conference play since. 

Sophomore Catcher Carly Sleeman is one of the top hitters in the MAC and leads the Chippewas with a .402 batting average. She also has a team-high 12 home runs and 34 RBIs and is one of five players on the team with at least six doubles. Mackenzine Langan has pitched a team-high 59 innings and has a team-high five wins and five complete games. Langan also has four shutouts and hitters are batting just .259 against her so far this season. 

GOLDEN GLOVES
Through six conference games, the Broncos have a MAC-best fielding percentage of .997 and have committed a conference low of just five errors. Riley Chumbley, Riley Dittmar and Taylor Wolfe all have perfect fielding percentages in MAC play, while Chumbley ranks seventh in putouts with 46. 

ON THE HORIZON
Western Michigan returns home this weekend to host Buffalo on Saturday and Sunday. The Broncos and the Bulls will play a double-header on Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. and then host Buffalo on Sunday at 12 p.m.
