RALEIGH, N.C. -- Lillian Zelasko's top-10 time in the 5,000-meter run headlined a strong weekend on the track for the distance group at the Raleigh Relays.
Zelasko produced a PR time of 16:41.57 to move into fifth all-time in program history. She beat her previous PR by nearly eight seconds.
Lily Overton and
Larissa McGrath also competed with Zelasko in the event. Overton finished with a time of 17:23.26, while McGrath crossed the finish line in a time of 17:50.90.
Ava Kurczewski nearly cracked the top-10 in program history in the 1,500-meter run. She finished the race in a time of 4:30.40, which was less than one second shy of cracking the program's top 10.
Lara Machado Pereira was also strong in the event, recording a time of 4:45.05.
To round out the weekend,
Rebekah Asselin competed in the 800-meter run. She was able to register a PR time of 2:15.90.
