Gymnastics Closes Out Regular Season at North Carolina

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team wraps up the regular season with a meet at North Carolina on Friday night at 6:45 p.m. The meet can be watched live on ACC Network Extra.

The Broncos wrapped up their conference and home schedule last Saturday, hosting Central Michigan, Illinois and Wilberforce for the program's first podium meet at University Arena. CMU got the best of all three, but WMU defeated Illinois and Wilberforce. Western Michigan took time afterward to recognize its senior class of Halle Faulkner, DonnaKathryn Roy, Cassie St. Clair, Holly Freeman, Gigi Singh and Ally Schaupp. 

A CLOSER LOOK AT UNC
The Tarheels rank 24th in the nation according to RoadToNationals.com, and fourth in the ACC. Kaya Forbes is the eighth-ranked vaulter in the league, with a NQS of 9.835 and a season high of 9.900. Lali Dekanoidze ranks first on bars in the ACC with a 9.925 NQS and a high of 9.975. 

THE BIG ONE
Western Michigan heads to Mount Pleasant and Central Michigan University next Saturday for the 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship. The Broncos will look to defend their title they won last year at Ball State.
