KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan football team and head coach Lance Taylor has announced the hiring of Nick Coleman to the position of Assistant Coach – Cornerbacks.
Coleman joins the staff after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant and defensive analyst at LSU where he worked with the defensive backs. Coleman also served as a graduate assistant at Boston College. Prior to his coaching career he was a Client Service Associate with USB.
"We are eager to have Nick Coleman join our Bronco family as our Corners Coach," said Taylor. "Nick is a dynamic and passionate coach who will bring a high level of energy, integrity, and expertise to our defensive backfield. His experience playing for and coaching alongside some of the best coaches in the business has shaped his ability to develop and mentor young men, and we're excited for the impact he'll have on our program."
Coleman played in 49 career games in four seasons with the Fighting Irish as a safety under Brian Kelley. He racked up 111 career tackles in his four seasons, with seven passes defended and one interception. After his playing career, he served as a student-athlete mentor and a stadium operation intern at UND, while completing his degree in Management Consulting.
