KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's basketball team welcomes Mid-American Conference leaders Ball State to University Arena for its final home game of the 2024-25 season on Saturday at 1 p.m. 

Prior to tip off, the Broncos will honor their senior class of Hannah Spitzley, Artemis Kouki, Megan Wagner and Maggie Stutelberg. Tickets are on-sale at www.wmubroncos.com/tickets. The game will also be streamed live on ESPN+ and can be heard live on the Bronco Media Network. 

STOPPING THE SLIDE
Western Michigan snapped a three-game losing skid with its 77-66 win over Akron on Wednesday. Junior transfer Marina Asensio had a career-high 26 points and seven assists. She shot the lights, going 9-of-12 from the field and 7-of-10 from three.  Spitzley had 17 points and led the team with seven rebounds, while Allie Carlson had 16 points and went 4-for-6 from three. 

SEPARATION
Western Michigan gained some separation in the MAC standings after Wednesday night's win. WMU is now tied with Central Michigan in seventh with a 7-8 record, although CMU does hold the tie-breaker. 

However, nipping at WMU's heels for the eighth and final MAC Tournament spot was Northern Illinois. NIU lost at Kent State on Wednesday and now sit further behind in ninth place with a 5-10 record. 

After Saturday's clash with Ball State, the Broncos have two more games left in the regular season. WMU travels to Ohio on Wednesday and then on to Buffalo on Saturday.
