KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan cross country team will compete in the final meet of the regular season tomorrow afternoon in Peoria, Ill. The Broncos will take on the talented field at the Bradley Pink Classic. The team will hit the course at 12:45 PM.
LAST TIME OUT
WMU was bumped to the top race at the Joe Piane Invitational, finishing the day with strong results. Competing against multiple top-25 teams, the Brown and Gold were able to finish 18th as a team.
Lily Overton led the way for Western Michigan, earning a PR in the race. Behind her was
Lara Machado Pereira, who also finished the race with a personal-best time.
REGIONALLY RANKED
After starting the year unranked, the Broncos have started to assert themselves as one of the better teams in the region. That has been reflected in the USTFCCCA rankings, where Western Michigan is ranked 15th in the Great Lakes Region.
WMU has been ranked in each of the last three polls, joining four other MAC schools (Ohio, Toledo, Bowling Green and Miami).
