CLEVELAND - The Mid-American and Sun Belt Conferences have announced the second matchups for the 2024-25 MAC-SBC Challenge, with the Western Michigan women's basketball team slated to face Texas State on the road, Saturday, February 8 at 3:00 PM ET.
Texas State is currently 8-7 and holds a 2-3 conference record. During their prior MAC-SBC contest, the Bobcats defeated Eastern Michigan University 75-71.
For the Brown and Gold, they currently hold a 6-8 record overall and a 3-1 conference record. In their prior MAC-SBC contest, WMU defeated Arkansas State 61-52 at University Arena on Monday, November 4, behind a combined 38 points from Hannah Spitzley, Vinyet Morato, and Artemis Kouki.
The Brown and Gold and the Bobcats are set to play for the first time in series history on Feburary 8.
Each MAC and Sun Belt team included in the MAC-SBC Challenge, which was created in 2023-24 and will continue through the 2026-27 season, is guaranteed one home and one away game each season.
