COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Western Michigan football team fell on the road at No. 2 Ohio State, 56-0, at Ohio Stadium on Saturday night.
The Buckeyes scored on each of their first three drives to put the Broncos (0-2, 0-0 MAC) in an early 21-0 hole. WMU did drive into OSU territory on its second drive, but missed a 42-yard field goal.
OSU added two more touchdowns In the second quarter to put WMU down 35-0 at the half, before adding three more touchdowns in the final 30 minutes.
Donald Willis led the tam and the game with 11 tackles, a new career-high. Jacob Wahlberg had six tackles and one sack, while also nearly intercepting a pass late in the second quarter.
Anthony Sambucci led all Bronco receivers with three catches for 41 yards, while Keshawn King led WMU with 22 yards on the ground.
