UNITED STATES -- Western Michigan men's soccer sophomore defender Carter Cormier earned TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honors after leading the Brown and Gold to a 2-0 record. Cormier's efforts helped the Broncos to a 1-0 home victory over #9 Northwestern last Friday and a 5-1 home win over Air Force this past Sunday. 

Cormier was a key factor in WMU's shutout over #9 Northwestern, making crucial clearances and stops against the Wildcat offense. The #9 Wildcats had scored in every game leading up to the match against WMU and were ultimately shut out against Cormier and the Brown and Gold. 

Later on Sunday against the Air Force Falcons, the defender supplied a total of two assists in the 5-1 victory. With Cormier's play on both the offensive and defensive thirds of the field, the Brown and Gold outscored their opponents at an impressive 6:1 ratio.
