KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan football's
Jacob Gideon,
Kenneth Womack and
Addison West have been named to the Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch List.
Staff from the annual East-West Shrine Bowl spend over six months working with college programs, National Football League teams and its own scouting team to identify the best 4+ year draft eligible players.
Gideon has been rated the Mid-American Conference's top center over the past two seasons, helping the Broncos produce 1,000-yard rusher and Freshman All-American,
Jalen Buckley. Gideon was the lone center from the MAC on the Rimington Trophy Watch List last season and he went on to earn First Team All-MAC honors.
West was also an All-MAC selection after starting every game next to Gideon in the guard position. He earned himself a spot on the third team and has started every single game during the past two seasons.
Womack made an instant impact after transferring in from Sacred Heart. The wide receiver led the MAC in receptions with 76, while racking up 691 yards and a touchdown.
