KALAMAZOO, Mich. – With the regular season in the books, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference has started to announce its end-of-season awards. The league's coaches and media voted
Alex Bump to the All-Rookie Team, which was announced this afternoon.
In 24 conference games, Bump was able to produce 20 points on eight goals and 12 assists. Bump joins
Ryan McAllister, Ronnie Attard and Ben Blacker as Broncos to earn NCHC All-Rookie Team honors.
Bump was a near unanimous choice, joining Miko Matikka (Denver), Tanner Ludtke (Omaha), Zeev Buium (Denver), Jake Livanavage (North Dakota) and Isak Posch (St. Cloud State) on the All-Rookie Team.
On the season, Bump is fourth on the team in points with 29 on 11 goals and 18 assists. He has four-multi-point games (three in conference play) this season and had a season-high eight game point streak between January and February.
Throughout the season, Bump has been recognized on various occasions, including Rookie of the Month honors in February. Over his last 10 games, the Prior Lake, Minn. native has totaled 12 points on five goals and seven assists.
