Last Time Out
The Brown and Gold dropped Saturday's contest at Detroit Mercy 72-63. In the defeat, junior Marina Asensio led all players with a career high 24 points and redshirt junior De'Ahna Richardson made a season-high four three-pointers.
In the loss, guard Hannah Sptizley improved her career total to 136 steals. The graduate student guard from Westphalia, Michigan, is now tied with Michelle Fortier 1990-93 for the 18th most steals recorded in program history.
WMU's second graduate student Megan Wagner recorded one assist and is now two assists away from passing Ann Kasdorf (1975-78) for 17th on the program's all-time assists list.
Scouting Cleary
The Cougars enter the contest with a 1-6 record, with their lone victory occurring on Saturday, November 9, against IU Kokomo. In the win, senior Amy Jackson and junior Samantha Hoelscher led the Cougars with 15 points each.
On the season Hoelscher paces Cleary with 13.6 points per game, while senior Taedom Stein follows with an average 11.3 points per outing.
Prior to Wednesday's contest, Cleary will play Lawrence Tech on the road today at 5:30 PM.
Protecting The Home Court
On Wednesday, the Brown and Gold will search for their fourth consecutive start to the season with a record of 2-1 or better at University Arena.
